TMS for Military Members with TRICARE

Helping those who've served

We rely on our nation’s military to protect and defend our country. But that service often comes at a cost. Military members and their families often experience mental health issues as a result of military service or separation during service. For example:

  • Military members experience depression at a rate 5 times higher than the civilian population
  • Military members experience PTSD at a rate 15 times higher than the civilian population

We can help. Active-duty military, veterans, and military families can receive mental health help through TRICARE or TriWest. We accept both TRICARE and TriWest at Inland Empire TMS and our team are experts at helping you receive the proper authorization for your TMS treatment.

Mental Health Care for Military Families

It’s not just the military members themselves who are at a higher risk for mental health issues. Especially during times of deployment, the entire family feels the effects of service. Sometimes that stress and anxiety can turn into depression, PTSD, severe anxiety, panic attacks, or other mental health concerns.

If you, a spouse, child, or other family member is struggling with a mental health concern, please reach out today. We are here to help. We go above and beyond to ensure your experience with us is pleasant and a positive step forward.

Due to our proximity to Camp Pendleton and March Air Force Base, we have significant experience helping military members get the necessary approvals for mental health treatment. Our team at Inland Empire TMS are experts at working with TRICARE and TriWest to make sure all necessary steps are taken to ensure treatment coverage.

Signs of Depression, Anxiety, or PTSD in Military Members and Families

Often, people don’t recognize the signs of depression or PTSD in themselves or their family members. Or they may think it is temporary and will pass with time. Depression and PTSD don’t always look the way they are portrayed in movies and on TV. PTSD, for example, is often portrayed as vivid – even violent – flashbacks. While that is one potential symptom of PTSD, it is not the only symptom, and a person does not need to experience traumatic flashbacks in order to be diagnosed with PTSD.

Here are common symptoms of depression and PTSD to be aware of, either in yourself or a family member:

Depression/PTSD Symptoms

If you or a member of your family are experiencing these symptoms, it is time to seek help. Left untreated, depression and PTSD can both worsen, causing even more severe mental health issues later on.

TRICARE Authorization Process

It’s easy to get started with treatment at Inland Empire TMS. In order to get you authorized for treatment, we just need a few pieces of information:

  • Your DOD number
  • Sponsor’s Name, Address and Date of Birth
  • Sponsor’s Social Security Number (TRICARE requires us to submit the Sponsor’s SSN)

With that information, we can get you verified and approved to start TMS treatment.
